About Dr. Angeli Desai

Dr. Angeli Desai is a clinical psychologist with a private practice in West LA. She received her B.A. in Psychology from George Washington University and went on to receive an M.A. in Psychology from New York University. Dr. Desai received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. 


Having resided in many parts of the country and abroad, Dr. Desai has a strong appreciation on how culture and diversity impact our upbringing, world views, and personality development. In addition to her formal education, Dr. Desai has received specialized training in the areas of psychoanalytic psychotherapy, addiction, eating disorders, trauma, and couples therapy. 


Dr. Desai is passionate about helping up-and-coming clinicians to navigate the many significant hurdles they have while en route to becoming clinical psychologists. She understands that guidance and support are necessary for graduate students to stay motivated, focused, and effective in their education and clinical work.
