Part 1 of this series will discuss the importance of support and provide a 'brave space' to experience support during your dissertation (and graduate school) journey. Additional resources will be provided to increase one's self-confidence, capacity, and perseverance to dissertation completion. The discussion will also include unexpected challenges and strategies to navigate possible roadblocks. Tips, guidelines and resources to assist you during your journey will be shared. Lastly, we will build a community as we make room for anyone to share their own personal experience during their academic journey. Leave feeling empowered, equipped, connected and ready to conquer your dissertation and/or academic studies.
Part 2 of this series will be an open space in which attendees can join to write independently on their dissertation. The first 15 minutes will allow for a brief check-in, introductions, and goal setting. The remaining time will be devoted to writing and seeking support during the process. The space will function as a sense of community.
